Cardano co-founder Charles Hoskinson has confirmed that Bitcoin is now officially supported on the Lace Wallet following the release of version 1.24 and a successful audit. The Lace Wallet, initially launched in 2023, began its multi-chain support journey in April with the 1.22 release, which allowed beta users to manage Bitcoin on a testnet.
With the recent update to version 1.24, full Bitcoin support is live for all users, marking a significant milestone for the wallet. Future updates are set to expand the wallet’s capabilities further, including the addition of XRP token support. Alongside token support enhancements, the wallet now also features delegation and on-chain voting, enhancing governance and user engagement features within the ecosystem.
